Fender Squier Affinity Stratocaster is a cheaper version of the Fender Stratocaster. The cheapest has to be the mini guitars but as for the main ones it would be the cheapest being the Squier Bullet Strat. You can get this in the Squier Affinity Strat packs that comes with a Fender 15G Amp, and your standard guitar accessories. The guitar overall is not a bad guitar, the only true problem I found was the tuning. It’s a good bang for your buck. I got mine for only $45 from a friend, I just wanted it for mainly looks and plus I used it in a previous band so its somewhat special to me. You can snag one on ebay around 60-100 dollars depending on who is selling it and if they have modifications on it. Its MUCH MUCH better then the First act ME-301 (Worst guitar ever built).

Good:

-Single Coil pickups really shimmer with cleans
-Pickups sound different and not monotonous
-Cheap and very easy on the wallet
-Great starter guitar that comes in a package
-The package is not a bad deal for what you pay if your starting out
-Has a tremelo thats pretty stable so far

Bad:

-Tuning is a constant problem because of the tuners
-Trem is pulls strings outa tune easily if you use it too much

The Squier Affinity Stratocaster is the very affordable entry level guitar range from Fender. What makes it stand out from the crowd of strat clones is its fantastic playability, slim neck and great build quality with a low action. No wonder its one of the best selling guitars in the world.

The Squier Affinity Strat is a fraction thinner on the Affinity than on the standard models making it ideal for the novice, youngster and adult too.

The bolt-on neck is Maple with a Rosewood fret-board. The Affinity also adorns the cool 1960/70s style larger Fender headstock that is rarely used these days, whilst the frets themselves are of medium gauge. There are the usual 3 single coil strat pick-ups along with a 5 way selector switch with a volume and two tone pots just like its big brothers.

The bridge has a standard traditional style tremolo system, and each string has its own bridge saddle with two allen screws per saddle for any height adjustment, at the opposite end of the guitar the machine heads are sealed chrome plated units. All in all a fantastic instrument to learn on and ideal for those on a tight budget.
